On my mission I was in a Category 4 hurricane.<br />Dealt with tornadoes after the hurricane. I have also experienced wild land fires. I never want to experience it again. My mother has been in hurricanes, floods, tornadoes, and earthquakes. In my opinion one must go through a natural disaster to appreciate the power of nature, and to understand what hardship the people are going through. It's one thing to watch it on television but quite another to experience it personally.JRnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8266009681076554415.post-31317156806711867142012-11-01T09:05:59.813-04:002012-11-01T09:05:59.813-04:00My first winter in Iowa included a, terrifying to ...My first winter in Iowa included a, terrifying to me, blizzard. It reminded me how totally dependent we are on God to preserve and protect us. Yes, we had sufficient supplies, etc. but it was the first time in my life that I was actually in tears because of the weather (and I experienced the fringes of a hurricane while on my mission in Florida, and earthquakes growing up in CA). Knowing the gospel plan is a great comfort in times of trial. Rozy Lasshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06019413665136390175noreply@blogger.com
